Worship Evangelism

Daily Old Testament Reading: Psalm 67, 69-70

Daily Focus Passage: Psalm 67

The act of worship occurs out of the overflow of gratefulness and praise for the Lord. The Lord's work in us motivates our glorification of the Lord and propels our voices to rise in praise to God Almighty. The spiritual act of worship serves as an opportunity to declare the goodness, love, and salvation from the Lord. This is when you and I worship the Lord; we participate in evangelism.

REASONS TO REJOICE

As followers of Christ, we have an eternal reason to rejoice, eternal life. The Psalmist announced that we rejoice in the Lord because of his great work. We worship the strength and foundation that the Lord provides for his children.

We rejoice because the justice of the Lord is perfect and true. He judges with righteousness and responds in favor of his own. Thus, we rejoice because we trust this justice is based on his righteousness, holiness, and character.

REJOICING DECLARES  CHRIST

The Psalmist recognized that rejoicing in the Lord declares the greatness and goodness. When we worship the Lord, the world hears the message of God's faithfulness to his promises, the work in our lives, and the hope found in redemption.

The Psalmist noted that worship makes the world know of the Lord. This truth challenges us to ask if the world knows Christ through our act of sacrificial and obedient worship. Does our declaration of the Lord flow from our relationship with the Lord for the whole world to hear his greatness and offer of salvation.

REFLECT CHRIST IN WORSHIP

Since worship exists as a reflection of Christ, the act of worship must occur under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and be centered and focused only on the Lord. Our worship must never become about our preferences or likes; instead, it must be about the Lord alone.

When we reflect Christ in worship, we declare the Lord's presence, power, and promise. We declare salvation in Christ alone and demonstrate a transformed heart. Does your worship exist as an act of evangelism?
